This option allows users to send a message along with an attachment.
1. Select the Send Message option.
2. At the Subject field, enter the subject line for the message.
3. At the Attachment field, enter Y (Y=yes) to include an attachment with the message. Use the Windows selection box to select file to attach. The default location is the Shared\NetYield\data\Company name\Emessages folder. Use the selection box to select the file and press ok. The file selected will be displayed on the Attachment line. Enter N (N=no) if there is no attachment.
4. A Target Audience window will appear. Select an audience to receive the message. Scroll to one or more eContacts from the list of eContact categories. For Customer, Location, and Vendor, select the role for the recipient of the email. Press F6 to display a Select A Role window listing the available roles for the email recipient. Scroll to the appropriate role and press Enter to confirm your selection. Select EXIT to continue. Press F10 when you are done selecting eContacts.
5. Command options will appear:
- Send – Select Send to send the email to the list of recipients found for each category and role selected. A Printing and Emailing Options window will appear with a list of all of the eContacts found for the selected audience.
- Select the specific recipients you want to send the message to. An asterisk (*) will appear beside each eContact, indicating that they have been selected. To remove someone from the list, select the appropriate line and press Enter. The asterisk will disappear, indicating the eContact has been removed from the list of recipients. When you are finished, press F10 to continue.
- The following message will appear: "Send to tagged email addresses? No/Yes."
- Select no if you do not want to send the email and attached file to the recipient(s).
- Select yes to send the email and attached file to the recipient(s).
- Audience – Select Audience to modify the list of categories to send the email to.
- Body – Select Body to edit the body of the free form email (F=free form) or select a HTML file (H=HTML) to use as the body of the email. The free form text defaults as "Your file is attached" and displays in the body section. You may change the text or add additional text in the body section now. If the body of the email is HTML. The file name will appear in the body section.
- Change – Select Change to change the subject line of the email file attachment or body of the message.
- Update – Select Update to save the email so that it may be used again. See Message Group for more information.
- Delete – N/A
- Exit – Select Exit to exit and return to the Select An Option window.
